Little farther from downtown Chipiona is the Playa de Camarón. Among its fauna, the chameleon roams its sand dunes. The conservation of this ecosystem is of great importance, which is why there are enclosed areas, elevated walkways and information panels whose aim is to keep this environment from deteriorating, thus preserving the natural assets and species present in it. 

At low tide, to the southeast, the fishing weirs, with their rocky exposed beds,  dominate the shoreline, preserving the essence of the fishing culture.
