CONFINED BETWEEN TWO ROCKY OUTCROPS

Average length: 3.100 m
Swimming conditions: moderate waters

The beach of Playa de Santa Catalina stretches from Punta Bermeja to Punta Santa Catalina del Puerto, confined between two rocky outcrops. It’s made up of two different sections. In the northwest section, the back of the beach has a steep slope covered in vegetation (coastal pine forest) and protected in certain parts by breakwaters. The area further south is occupied by housing developments and apartments that are close to the beach. With a large expanse of sand, this beach is one of the most frequented beaches of the municipality.
