POPULATED SINCE NEOLITHIC TIMES

Located between the natural parks of the Sierra de Grazalema and Los Alcornocales, it has been inhabited since Neolithic times, as evidenced by the archaeological site of the cave of La Dehesilla.

Its artistic heritage is represented by the parish church of Santa María de Guadalupe and the town hall, both in neoclassical style, and the bullring.

PRIVILEGED ENCLAVE

Due to its privileged enclave, there are many leisure possibilities available to visitors, from small and big game hunting (which is reflected in the town's gastronomy) and hiking in the Tajo del Águila to fishing in the river Majaceite or canoeing, sailing or enjoying the beach at the Guadalcacín II reservoir.
